- In mid-60’s, Developmental and Social Psychology were a core component of undergraduate studies.
- Inaugurated in undergraduate college the ‘Listening Ear,’ a 24 Hour Crisis Center for a university of 30k students, 3K faculty and 12k staff as well a local community. Trained intensively for six-months before opening and continued personal development through National Training Labs.
- This in-turn lead to the development of: ‘The Raft’ a home for youth in recovery, ‘The Loft,’ a caring home for runaways, and eventually a child play therapy & parent co-op day care center.
- In the 70’s, as university department head of a hybrid academic and student affairs program I counseled many hundreds of students in life-work directions and academic-career questions.
- Completed M.Ed for managing education institutions alongside MHSA for leading human service organizations. Academic emphasis was on social systems theory (i.e. Tavistock Institute of Human Relations), understanding the interplay of intra-psychic factors and group dynamics.
- In early 80’s collaborated with interdenominational clergy and lay leadership to explore life-work directions counseling. Became a life-work directions guide, life-purpose counselor and leadership coach.
- Participated in hundreds of personal growth: classes, seminars, workshops, retreats.
- Became a Roberto Assagioli counselor utilizing Psychosyntesis for understanding blocks and self-limiting personality patterns. Deepened training in Jung’s archetypal psychology to assist client’s breakthroughs.
- Consulted in organizational and strategic development for leading personal development organizations.
- Spent 90’s studying, helping run programs and manage an institute for ‘Health Facilitation’ & ‘Transformational Healing.’ Assisting students and clients clarify their life-purpose and meaningful work.
- Focused for four year in the new millennium becoming a certified spiritual counselor (interfaith chaplain.)
